JY Carbon has dispatched 200 tons of pebble-form Soderberg electrode paste to a calcium carbide producer in Vietnam. The material was packed in one-ton supersacks and loaded into containers for shipment from Tianjin Port.
Electrode Paste for a Calcium Carbide Application
Soderberg electrode paste is used as the carbonaceous feed material in a self-baking electrode system. Inside the electrode casing, the paste gradually develops into the working carbon electrode under the furnace’s thermal and electrical conditions.
The customer’s calcium carbide application and required paste form were considered as part of the order specification. Product selection for this type of furnace should also consider the agreed inspection parameters, existing feeding practice, storage conditions and operating history.
Packaging and Export Coordination
The pebble-form paste was packed in one-ton supersacks. This format supports batch identification, container loading and handling at the receiving site when it is compatible with the customer’s storage and paste-addition system.
The shipment was dispatched in containers through Tianjin Port. Packaging, container quantity, shipping marks and export documents should be confirmed for each order according to the product form, quantity, destination and agreed trade terms.
